After tonight’s 8-6 loss to the Tigers the Angels optioned infielder Andrew Romine down so they can make room for Garrett Richards, who starts Tuesday night in Detroit for the halos.

David Pauley was claimed off of waivers today by the Toronto Blue Jays, the 29 year old reliever had a ERA with 4.35 in 10.1 innings of work this year for the Angels. The Angels designated Pauley for assignment on Monday to make room for infielder Andrew Romine, who was called up from Triple-A.

The Angels made some roster moves this afternoon. Angels send OF Kole Calhoun back to Triple A Salt Lake City.
